Welcome to Langholme Lake
Here you will find lots of information relating to Langholme Lake, its wonderful inhabitants and details of our 16 excellent swims in over 17 acres of gin clear water.
A bit about our lake
Langholme Lake, run by the Carp Society, is situated on the Southern fringe of the Isle of Axeholme at the County border between North Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Since opening in 2001 the lake has developed wonderfully from a derelict sand pit into one of the North's premier carp angling venues providing its anglers with an enormous number of features to fish to. The lake now boasts individual captures of over 30lb and fish growth is developing excellently following a period of heavy feeding. Visit the gallery for pictures of some of the captures. Now in its 6th year, the lake has become the envy of the area. Catches are harder to come by but the weights have moved forward considerably with the lake holding a good head of 20's and a known 30 (35lbs 14oz). In fact, the lake now boasts a considerable waiting list for membership. What a difference a few years makes!
